Introduction

This course is designed to expose the participants with the concept, techniques, issues, and challenges involved in uncertainty and error analysis in O&G exploration data. Minimizing the uncertainty in the analysis leads to better success in the exploration process. Data-driven modeling techniques will be introduced to the participants and also it is will be introduced to utilize this model for reducing the errors in uncertainty analysis. At the same time, the course introduced the participant's state of the art for big data analysis in O&G exploration using a case study.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able:
  1. The course offers the knowledge and skill to examine the exploration data and reduces the uncertainty and error analysis.
  2. This course also given an insight of the data driven modeling techniques utilized for exploration data.
  3. A case study will give the participants in depth knowledge of data driven models for exploration.
 

Trainer

Dr. Sayed Ameenuddin Irfan is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Shale Gas Research Group at UTP. He has completed his PhD in Applied Mathematics at UTP. His main area of research is mathematical modeling and simulation for Oil and Gas applications. Dr. Irfan has published several reputed journal articles on mathematical modeling and simulation Techniques.
