INTRODUCTION

Basic well completion course is specifically intended for young aspiring engineers working in oil and gas upstream operations either as operator or service providers. The course includes introduction to the various type of well completion components, its functions and mechanism. The participants are expected to gain basic knowledge of the typical components that are commonly available in well completion with regard to the well type

OBJECTIVES

Dr Mysara Eissa Mohyaldinn Elhaj

Senior Lecturer at Petroleum Engineering Department, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Experts in oil transportation, production engineering, flow

Dr Mysara Eissa Mohyaldinn hold a PhD degree in Petroleum Engineering, a Master degree in oil transportation and a Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering. He has been teaching for more than 10 subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels besides conducting short courses to petroleum companies in the area of production optimization, oil and gas transportation, and surface production facilities. He has started several training and consultancy services since 2013. Dr Mysara primary research goals are directed towards flow assurance, sand management, and oil transportation.  He has Beside his teaching and research experience, Dr Mysara has been working with multi-national oil companies in some petroleum projects. He also a professional member under Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Energy Institute (EI), Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM).

Mr Asif Zamir

Lecturer at Petroleum Engineering Department, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. Mr Asif Zamir was a researcher at the King Saud University–Department of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering (Saudi Arabia). Asif Zamir holds his MSc degree in Petroleum Engineering from King Saud University (Saudi Arabia) in 2014, B.sc degree in Petroleum Engineering from BUITEMS Pakistan in 2008 and his MBA degree from virtual university of Pakistan in 2011. His primary interest areas are Drilling & well completion, well control, Drilling operations and drilling fluid design. He was the drilling engineering cluster leader at the Petroleum Engineering Department at UTP from Jan 2016 to Jan 2017

Mr Ghazaly Bakar

Senior Manager, Production Technologist, Uzma Artificial Lift, UZMA Engineering Sdn Bhd Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Professional Production Technologist with a degree in Petroleum Engineering and sixteen (16) years of working experience in production operations in the oil and gas industry in various fields in Malaysia as well as overseas (Myanmar, Brunei and Venezuela). Experienced in the upstream (E&P) oil & gas industry under various projects and responsibilities as Surveillance and Production Technologist.  Acquired an in-depth technical knowledge and capability with experience in managing matured producing fields, well performance analysis and production enhancement and optimization initiatives with main expertise in artificial lift application such as gaslift, PCP and ESP.

Ms Wyddad Kamarudin

Petroleum Engineer, UZMA Group Sdn Bhd Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines. Wyddad Kamarudin hold a bachelor of science in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines. Throughout all four years of studies, she has acquainted herself with a range of skills that would allow her to blend with the organization culture and propel the team to a new height of success. With the working experience in the industry for seven (7) months, she willingly took this golden chance to share her stories and knowledge in production technology. Her involvement in various subsurface studies had polished her technical knowledge and developed the capability to analyze well performances and identified different applicable Production Enhancement initiatives.

Ms Nurul Hayati Harolanuar

Application and Production Engineer, Uzma Artificial Lift, UZMA Engineering Sdn Bhd Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Petroleum Engineering (Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS) Application and Production Engineer with a degree in Petroleum Engineering with technical experience in production technology work scopes. She has heavily involved in subsurface studies to study and identify on the production enhancement initiative and activities. The main accountability including field and well performance review, production optimization and enhancement as well as well modelling with PROSPER. She has technical experience in fields data review and due diligence in identifying, analysing and supporting technical design for potential ESP application in sustaining the production for onshore and offshore field within and outside Malaysia.   Download the Course Brochure:  Basic Well Completion
